A Resurrectionist Novel – Book 1

(Now available for purchase here!)

When the resurrectionists of Fissure’s Whipp begin disappearing, eighteen-year-old Allie knows someone is after their blood—or, more accurately, the genetic mutation that allows their blood to heal wounds, save lives and even bring back the recently deceased.

Raised by her aunt after her parents’ deaths, Allie knows staying vigilant means staying alive. She’s trained her whole life to protect herself by any means necessary, from self defense classes to extensive weapons training in knives. Now, she’s gone so far as to befriend a homeless boy named Ploy who unknowingly trades a few nights a week on her couch in exchange for being a human tripwire to those hunting her.

But as Allie and Ploy’s feelings for each other grow, Allie realizes this time, she’ll need more than fighting skills and a sharp blade to beat a villain literally out for blood.

Protecting a girl he shouldn’t love, from a threat he understands too well, Ploy must face his past to save his future in Allie’s world—a world where bringing back the dead can cost you your life.

(Book 1 in the Touch Series)

Eden didn’t expect Az.

Not his saunter down the beach toward her. Not his unbelievable pick up line. Not the instant, undeniable connection. And not his wings.

So long happily-ever-after.

Now trapped between life and death, cursed to spread chaos with her every touch, Eden could be the key in the eternal struggle between heaven and hell. All because she gave her heart to one of the Fallen, an angel cast out of heaven.

She may lose everything she ever had. She may be betrayed by those she loves most. But Eden will not be a pawn in anyone else’s game. Her heart is her own.

And that’s only the beginning of the end.

Everything began with forbidden love.

What will be sacrificed at the bitter end?

The dramatic conclusion to Leah Clifford’s dark, alluring trilogy of life, death, and epic love.

  1. I have only one question: When the hell are we getting an ARC?

  2. leahclifford says:

Word on the street (er…phone) is that they’re being printed and will be here soon! EEK!

  3. Sounds great! Just added it to my Goodreads, as suggested 😀

Will definitely add this to my list next time I go book buying.

  4. Just bought my copy today. So as soon as I’m finished reading Leanna Renee Heibers new book, this book will be next. You see I do have a plan.

  5. Alberta says:

So I just finished this book, and i couldn’t put it down. I was wondering when the next book is coming out because I am absolutely stoked for the series! (:

    • leahclifford says:

Thanks! The next one should be out somewhere around February. So far, I’m working on edits, but the cover and title are still secret! Hopefully I’ll get to share soon!

      • Brittney says:

I can’t wait until book 2 comes out. Have you figured out the title for it? *edited for spoilers*

  6. Kaitlyn says:

I loved A Touch Mortal!!!!!!! And I can’t wait for A Touch Morbid!!!!!!

  7. felicia says:

Is there going to be a movie about ‘ A TOUCH MORTAL’ and if not why? Ireally need to see a movie about the book because if the book is so good i would love to see the movie plz reply as soon as u can

    • leahclifford says:

As of yet, the movie rights are still available, so there’s nothing in the works. As to the why? It’s totally out of my hands. Hollywood people talk to my agent and buy the rights. Then maybe they make it. I WISH they would make a movie though! How awesome would that be?!!!!

  8. Briana says:

I loved this book, it was amazing! (I am writing a review for my blog of it right this moment acctually. 😉 ) However over call me over critical, nitpicky, a perfectionist what ever you wish cuz I can be but I noted after reading the book it says in the synopsis, “All because she gave her heart to one of the Fallen, an angel cast out of heaven.” but it states in the book that while he was cast out of heven he hasnt acctually become one of the fallen because he hasnt fallen completely to the basement side. Gabe was always talking about him fighting the fall ect. So he isnt acctually fallen?

    • leahclifford says:

No, he’s only half Fallen. It was just much to hard to explain that in the few words they have to use for the synopsis. The Bound, though, consider him Fallen. To them, he’s tainted until he uses the wings to go back Upstairs.
